"Taking the Next
Step"

My last talk was about raising the kundalini energy, or God energy up through the 7 chakras or power centers based on "The Book of Revelation" in regards to the message to the seven Churches. We briefly experienced the chakras through a guided meditation. This energy rising to the Crown chakra at the top of the head, unites one to the Christ Self. It can be experienced as total bliss. But then what?
Master teachers have for warned people not to open up these centers without pure intention; being in the highest of consciousness. Mostly because that which is harbored within our subconscious and conscious mind will be empowered and released into our manifest world. This could be quite upsetting to deal with all at once. So unpeal like an onion layer by layer. This is our inner work. To clear out our impurity of thoughts, false beliefs, past experiences of pain, suffering and misdeeds.
Our outer work is to bring our true nature into all we do. Im reminded of an old TV game show which asked "Will the real John Doe please stand up?", or "Will the real Christ please stand up?" Its funny because I remember when doing something that wasnt like me, saying "That wasnt the real me." How true! How often do we really let our true self come out and shine?
The next step is to allow that which we gathered in meditation to carry on throughout our day. There are practices that assist one on the spiritual path. They are referred to as an active meditation or contemplation. A single thought of truth is held for 1-2 weeks. Every moment of every day we carry the thought in all we do; as challenges come up we go back to our practice until we are living our mantra or truth; moment by moment, hour by hour, day by day, week by week. The six basic principles are:
1. There is only one Presence
2. There is only one Power
3. There is only one Intelligence
4. Spirit is the Nature of all Things
5. I AM
6. Thou art That
This is from the book "Contemplation; The Activity of Mystical Consciousness" by Helen Brungardt. This is one of the books we shall be using in the upcoming Divine Science course "Consecretion;" it is the fourth of the basic courses.
I really see the next step to the new mankind as the path of action. This powerful creative kundalini energy is carried forth through our new understanding, it is demonstrated in all we do. We are given a road map in Revelation 22:11-14: "Having the glory of God, radiant as a brilliant light, resembling a very prescious gem, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. It had a wall great and high and it had twelve gates, with names inscribed thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.
On the east were three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb."
In verse 15-17 we are told, "And he who talked with me had a measuring rod of golden reed to measure the city and its gates and its wall. And the city was laid foursquare, the length the same as the breadth and he measured the city with the reed, twelve furlongs, twelve thousand paces, and the length and breadth and the height were equal. And he measured the wall thereof, a hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel."
One of the symbols that came to me today regarding the twelve gates three at each direction and laid foursquare, was a pyramid.
The number 12 empowered is brought forth, as the new man or angel. 12 times 12, a 144. A fully realized soul is 144 cubits. That is, the 12 tribes of Israel and the 12 apostles of Jesus the Christ.
The 12 tribes of Israel, each one representing a power, brought these powers to a new level for mankind; I think of the Law at the mental level, or still very human level dealing with the world of effects. Then we continue on our path moving to the to the spirit of the law at the heart level. The full Christ realization came through the 12 apostles.
Each apostle representing a fully realized power in its highest aspect beyond the physical understanding of the world and our part in it -- to the spiritual knowing of our true spiritual Christ nature -- as the co-creator "It is the Father within that doeth the works." The great promise is fulfilled "...You too shall do these works, and even greater works that these." The Holy Spirit or Kundalini energy came upon them, and great works did they have. They lived the path of action healing, teaching and serving wherever guided.
Charles Fillmore, founder of Unity, did a lot of work in this area, which he called "The Twelve Powers of Man." There are 12 powers, also related to 12 power centers of the energy body and each apostle or disciple. These are to be fully empowered; each is a school of knowledge to be explored and exercised in our field of action.
Briefly Ill run through the 12 powers by its associated apostle:
Peter is Faith;
Andrew is Strength;
James, son of Zebedee is Discrimination or Judgement;
John is Love;
Philip is Power;
Bartholomew is Imagination;
Thomas is Understanding;
Matthew is Will;
James son of Alphaeus is Order;
Simon of Cananaean is Zeal;
Thaddaeus is Renunciation or Elimination;
and last Judas is Life.
Faith, Strength, Judgement, Love, Power, Imagination, Understanding, Will, Order, Zeal, Renunciation and Life. Out of which comes the Christ Consciousness, the new holy body known as the New Jerusalem. New creative expressions come forth as never before; our true genius manifests. We are lifted beyond the normal physical laws to a whole new world of creative expression. We are guided to where and how we will serve, and we follow being a blessing, a light unto the world living the I AM.
Ill Share with you a song we sing at our Ordinations "Here I Am Lord."
Ive been thinking of doing the series on the 12 powers once again. Last time was summer/fall of 1996. I did one power per week. Please let me know your interest. Al Olliffe also does workshops based on these 12 powers.
Kimberly is now going to share with us about her beautifully inspired 12 powers painting.
