"Spiritual Law of Mind"

This week my talk is based upon the "Spiritual Law of Mind — Mind in Action." There is but one mind -- the All in All -- which we call God, and that mind lives and moves and has its being through each and everyone of us as life eternal. We are God in Action. Not to be mistaken as the totality of God, but God is the totality of us.

There would be no life in us without the very presence, power and intelligence of God expressing as and through us -- the very breath of God we call life is Spirit in action. This is the Spirit-Substance of all Life in the unmanifest and manifest world. As our Divine Statement of being says, "God is All, both invisible and visible -- it is Perfect Life, Perfect Love, and Perfect Substance... And, I am ever one with it." This is the very premise of all New Thought Teachings.

Based on this Truth, then how can there be anything outside of God, outside of perfection, outside of goodness. Anything other, just isn’t the truth. This is can be very hard for a new truth student to understand. We ask ourselves, "How can it be that I experience otherwise? My life appears to be chaos, my health appears to be suffering, my pocketbook or bank account appears to be lacking. What happened to this perfect expression in action through me?"

We have the ability to judge righteously our falsely. When we believe in outer appearances and the opinions of others we give away our own Self-Authority. Question by what or whose authority told you? Facts based solely upon the belief in a 3rd dimensional physical material world as cause are amiss. It has no life of itself, but what we give it. Ask, for the truth to be revealed about whatever is in question. Go within and ask. Become your own authority — a Truth revealed from within can never be taken away, and lasts the test of time.

We unknowingly take on beliefs from the race consciousness such as, "being in a draft of wind or chill will give you a cold or worse." Television is constantly telling us to use this drug and that drug to overcome various symptoms of illness and disease. Masses watch the stock market everyday basing their prosperity upon its results. Others watch for the news to know the latest disaster or war basing their future well being on these pronouncements.

Getting back to our base roots of Spirit as cause and the substance of all, then we can begin to see the truth in any circumstance. "Law of mind in action is taking your thoughts off of the negative appearance or problem and on to the solution." We are the ones that have to choose to see it differently.

"By whose authority told you?" is a wonderful question to ask yourself. Center yourself in stillness, going within yourself ask, Reveal the truth to me about... You are now going beyond the appearance, beyond the physical facts, to the invisible dimension of cause, truth and knowledge.

Follow this by "Let the truth be revealed through me now!" Of course be ready for change — change in your outer world, and inner world. For what you find in truth may be very conflicting to the appearances in the outer world. Just hold on to this inner truth, stay focused in truth, and eventually the outer will follow the inner.

I’m not asking you to bury your head as an ostrich, but to lift your eyes above the appearance long enough to see the truth — the underlying principle of all life that is right here, right now, this very moment.

Last week I asked that you use creative denials followed by affirmations to clear out the false beliefs that have been instilled consciously and unconsciously. How many did this? Would you like to share?

The more we clear out inconsistencies from our belief system the purer our intentions will manifest. Mind in action begins with a divine idea desiring to come forth and express. We entertain it in our thoughts surrendering our personal will for the higher will of God, and charge it with emotion -- living moving energy.

It now has life, it has taken root within us and begins to grow and take form. We then carry this new creation, our vision, within us until it is done in consciousness. When the moment of peace or sense of fulfillment comes release to God, and in God’s perfect timing our child or creation is born.

Every step is vital to a true creation, or perfect new son. Otherwise, we get miscreations — those that don’t express the true original intent of the divine idea. Sometimes we forget to get out of God’s way and surrender our will. Other times, we just let these ideas flutter past without entertaining in thought and charging with emotion.

Or, we forget to hold focus until it is done in consciousness; jumping from one idea to another. Or, allow doubt and fears to enter. Then we may wait impatiently, while having forgotten to release our new creation so that it may come forth.

The above is how we manifest from the inner or higher dimensions; or invisible realms. Last week I mentioned about the law of attraction in receiving from the 3rd dimension; that which is already created on this plane of expression.

The law of mind brings forth like expressions; like attitudes and beliefs. I have handed out a list of "Disposition Liabilities" I received this summer from Brooks Divinity School. If you are experiencing these in another, then they are something to look for within yourself. At the bottom are a notes taken by me. The last is an affirmation given by Dr. Anne couple of Kunath for dealing with these in our lives. Fill in the words "this attitude" with a disposition on the list, such as, "I Am not demanding, therefore I do not attract people who are demanding."

Again, this list is only to help us clear out these things within ourselves so we can live consciously a beautiful, glorious, love filled life. If you find other words more to your liking use them instead. This is only a guideline.

I’ll close with a poem written by Kemmons Wilson, Founder of Holiday Inns:

For best results, this garden should be planted every day:

Five rows of "P"eas:

Preparedness
Promptness
Perseverance
Politeness
Prayer

Three rows of squash:

Squash gossip
Squash criticism
Squash indifference

Five rows of lettuce:

Let us love one another
Let us be faithful
Let us be loyal
Let us be unselfish
Let us be truthful

Three rows of turnips:

Turn up for church
Turn up with a new idea
Turn up with the determination to do a better job tomorrow than you did today.
