"Energy of 2003"

Today I will be sharing about the energy or vibration of the new year 2003 based upon the esoteric science of numerology. I’ve invited Tony McGettigan and Eric Meece to share their insights for the new year based on the science of Astrology.

This new millennium is based upon the 2 influence which is a feminine emotional number symbolized by the cross. Its watchword is "Peacemaker." The two is the formative mother principle, the heart. The two is the descent of spirit into matter. Two is the emotional life, unleashed on the lower planes, and transmuted on the higher.

The two on the material plane manifests as duality, and in its lower aspect expresses itself as indecision, purposelessness, and vacillation. On the higher or spiritual plane, Two manifests as equilibrium, which may be characterized as balance, poise, and steadfastness.

Universally the Two may be experienced through duality of the imbalanced power causing strife or as the balance of power in peace and harmony. The two teaches community, working together for the greater good or whole. It is the rising above the cross to the mystical marriage of the head and heart.

For this year we have the 2 with the 3 making it a universal five year. Briefly looking at the three which is symbolized by the trinity or equilateral triangle of perfection. Its watchword is "Joygiver." The three contains both the mother and father principle. It is the threefold nature of man; spirit, soul, body.

Three is expansive, and foundation of all creativity and activity. On the lower physical planes, and in the mass mind of man this activity principle operates as disintegration. In the higher realms and in the consciousness of the illumined, it operates as transmutation.

At last we come to the number 5, and its watchword is "Progress." Five stands for the Christ, or the spirit, resurrected from the tomb of matter. The early Christians held five to signify the sacred wounds upon the body of Christ Jesus, these being five in number. The symbol for the 5 is the five pointed star or Christ Star representing man with arms and legs outstretched and head erect.

Five has been called the dual number because it represents the two natures, the higher spiritual nature, and the lower physical nature, which contend for supremacy in the life of man. Two paths are continuously opening for the Five. Situations appear to reappear which represents the choice between good and ill, or the higher and lower natures.

Five is representative of man’s attempt to rise above the chaos of the present age. We can see where the difficulties involved in such an accomplishment could be looked upon as unfortunate, or evil from the personal point of view, whereas in reality, from the view point of the spirit and its progress it sees these experiences as part of its necessary growth to attaining the state of eternal good, Five is good in the making.

Five is the pendulum swinging between the influence of 2, the imperfect, and 3, the perfect. In the Bible we see the number 5 relating to the planes of manifestation and the senses. Five is the "Putting off the old and putty on the new", Paul is the work of the 5. The 5 is the work of regeneration.

We can see this as a nation, a state, that we are in a state of breaking down and rebuilding. Keeping our mind turned inward and upward to spirit we shall meet this challenge with the rewards of seeing beyond the worldly appearances to the greater good and true light that is at hand. But if we keep our mind looking outward and downward to the physical material appearance, then we shall fall prey to fear and into the illusions of darkness.

We have a choice in how we handle ourselves during chaos, conflict, and change that is going on all about us. This is the cross, and if we stand tall and erect like the Christ Star truly we shall rise above the appearances and temptations of the ego to the resurrection of the soul. Transforming darkness into light, matter into spirit, and death into eternal life.

The Universal 5 year is a year of opportunity to doing things in a whole new way to bringing prosperity and peace on earth to everyone everywhere. It is a shift in consciousness to building a global world community.
