"Conscious
Healing"

This week Im bringing the principles of creation to healing. As Ive said before we are always creating our experiences by our beliefs, thoughts, and actions. Actually actions follow our thoughts, and thoughts follow our beliefs. So we start with our beliefs, "What is our belief about health?" Can our health come and go? Do we have to earn our health? Is our health based on outside circumstances; the food we eat, the weather, or its going around?
In Divine Science we start with the very premise of wholeness wholeness is of the principle of Oneness; the Omnipresence of God. Every illness or disharmony of health is experienced through the belief of two powers good and evil life and death -- health and sickness the root of which is a belief or a sense in separation from our true source -- God. God is oneness and therefore wholeness.
We can say that all that is discordant in our lives is caused from our own sense of separation from God. Regardless of the condition it is the result from the same causing factor. Either we are facing the sun with all its glorious light, or we have turned our back on the sun and we see shadows of darkness -- looking through a glass darkly; we see and experience a distorted reality through our own shadows. Every thought that we have that is not based in Truth is a shadow in our consciousness, and therefore we experience separation.
When we choose to think and speak words of doubt, fear, resentment, criticism, guilt or anger we have created a split from the Truth and therefore from our good, and our natural state of perfection. For every word thought or spoken charged with feeling has the power to create an illusion, a false appearance and we experience the falsity as real. We can even get others to agree with us.
Have you ever shared an illness or pain with someone? The more you talked about it, and they sympathetically agreed with you, or commensurate their own aches and pains soon you felt even worse than before. Now you are justified, and what could have been released in a few hours may now stay around for days or weeks. Or until we are ready to let go of it or believe we can.
A healing consciousness is a realization of perfect health. A realization of God as our perfect health. Do we ever think of a sick God, or a sick atom? Yet we state that we are one with God and that God is in us. Or that we are made of atoms, every cell millions of atoms. When we think of the power of an atom, I think of the atom bomb, so how can we ever be tired, or a cell be worn out and die. I remember thinking about how atoms never die but just change forms; as simple as water to ice, to steam, and water again. Its true essence never changes, but only the outer form. Our true essence, the truth of our beingness is God. Therefore we are like God; wholeness is our natural state in truth we can never not be perfectly whole. If we believe otherwise, then we will experience according to our belief system until we awaken to a realization of wholeness.
Conscious healing is not a physical process but, spiritual realization of a state of wholeness in the individual. When we are experiencing other than wholeness then we say "we are not our self" -- then who are we? We have temporarily left the truth and are experiencing shadows of self. Jesus the Christ said, "That its not what you put in your mouth that defiles you, but what comes out." I understand this to mean that its not about ones food intake, but about ones thinking and therefore speaking.
There can be so much judgment around foods -- if we listen to doctors through the ages, what has been good for you at one time is bad at another -- depending upon their school of thought. Modern science of the early 50's called whole wheat bad for you because the doctors believed that it could cause stomach ulcers.
Through the years we have had all kinds of fad diets claiming wonders -- today doctors claim their bad for us. I like to take things back to their source -- All food is made of atoms -- is one atom better than the other. Atoms and food are of God and therefore Good. The very breath we breathe, this invisible substance, is the vital life force of God and food to our bodies.
I have heard that what you are thinking of while eating is what you are really digesting think on that one. Where are our thoughts? What are the quality of our thoughts? Pay attention to your daily thoughts. Do they support wholeness, and a healthy well being; mind, body, and soul.
Christ Jesus also said to not criticize because you are focused on separation and what is not Truth. We end up experiencing what we criticize because we identify or acknowledged its existence. And, give error power by continuing to focus our thoughts upon the error rather than on Truth.
These three: what you believe, thoughts entertained, focused energy are what basically create our experiences. Health vs non health. First identify your erroneous beliefs and exchange for that which is grounded in Truth. Ask such questions as, "where did I get that one from, is it mine, inherited, or from popular belief?" "How does it serve me today?" "Does it feel true for me?" In prayer ask for the realization of what is true. What is the truth? Be persistent until an answer comes and is realized as part of your consciousness.
Next: Pay attention to your thought process so that it becomes aligned with what you believe. Regardless of the appearance reported through our physical senses let us discern with the eye of Spirit, the single eye, and our bodies shall be full of light. Always use life affirming statements such as, "My body is God Substance in action therefore perfect." "I Am created in Gods image and likeness: whole, perfect and vitally alive." "I Am all what God created me to be; intelligent, courageous, prosperous, healthy, energetic, happy, peaceful and whatever else comes to mind."
Finally: Be watchful of your actions. Actions follow thoughts. If your thoughts are in alignment with truth, then your actions will follow in like. But, if you are experiencing otherwise, then re-look at, your beliefs and thoughts. Your actions are like your report card on how well you are doing on the inside.
Another way, is to fake it til you make it. That is by consciously choosing your actions, and eventually your thoughts and beliefs will become aligned. Taking that giant leap in faith will exercise your belief in faith. And, strengthen your belief in a God that is within you right here and now -- a very living presence. An affirmation I like to use is: "I am the feet, hands, eyes, and mouth for God."
I recommended to inventory daily how well you did in these areas. Ask, questions: Was I true to my integrity? Did I fall into fear? Did I get angry? Did I let my thoughts control me? Did I help someone today? Or did I say a kind word? Be honest. Then follow-up with forgiveness, affirmations and prayer treatments. Think of it as losing or reclaiming your energy, power, and light. Choosing separation or oneness; to stand in shadows or in the full rays of the sun.
Healing Prayer Treatment
I acknowledge the presence of God right here and now. I am in God and God is in me. I lift my mind to the heights of the Christ Mind. I give my attention to the truth that God is all. I do not give power to thoughts of unhappiness, fear, illness or weakness. I let go of resentments. I am cleansed filled with love,
the fullness of Spirit.
With a raised consciousness, the words that I speak are empowered by Spirit indwelling. I know that all things are done through God within. I know that Spirit works, and that the work is done while I place my attention on the perfection and purity and omnipotence of God.
I have faith unshakable faith in the activity of the Divine Presence in me. I have faith that my vision of Truth brings forth that on which I place my vision. I envision God as life. Divine life is pure, eternal, perfect, vibrant. I am one with God, and so I am one with that perfect life that God is. I am the perfect manifestation of God-Life. I rejoice that I "make" the likeness through my faith in the unfailing activity of the Life-Principle in me.
I hold to the kingdom-of-God consciousness, and I prove my faith by my thoughts, words and acts. I have faith in the miracle-working power of God, the Christ within me. I do not look toward the outer; I give no power to the evidence of the senses. I trust the cleansing, healing power of Divine Love to wash away false thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. As I use love toward my fellow men, forgiving hurts and erasing resentments and fears, so does the stream of Divine Christ Love
do its glorious work in me.
I know that the perfection that is now in me comes into visibility through my faith in Spirit. Spirit fulfills. Life within me is renewing, revitalizing and rebuilding my body. I am renewed and revitalized now. I am the perfect manifestation of Gods perfect idea of life. God-Life manifests and functions perfectly in me.
I am radiant with the strength and vitality of Spirit.
I give thanks that it is done. I give joyous thanks.
