"Aug. 11 & the 4 Beasts of Revelation"

This upcoming Wednesday, Aug 11^th, is an astrological and astronomical event. For those following the science of astronomy this is a meaningful event because of the high number of nine planets in view during a New Moon total solar eclipse; scientists see this event from a physical point of view and the effects it may have on the earth, such as extreme earth and weather changes.

But, for those that follow the science of astrology this has a much greater meaning; it is called "The Grand Cosmic Cross" in the four fixed signs of the zodiac, or the four gates of power. Astrologers view the psychological and physical affects in people’s lives which may also include earth and weather changes.

Many religious people, especially those that study the Bible literally, see this as fulfillment in prophecy of doom and the time of the end of the world. Those that are more spiritually minded see this from another kind of perspective. That of realization and evolution of humankind as Spiritual Beings; it becomes "The end of the world as we know it today." The regeneration of mankind from 3^rd dimensional consciousness to 4^th. Bringing heaven on earth, and the New Jerusalem; from a world view of separation to oneness and wholeness; from fear and anger, to peace and love.

I myself am not an astrologer, although I have been interested in it. My interest today is more from a Bible perspective. A couple of weeks ago in our morning study group of "Angels Within Us" we were reading about the four beasts as in the Tarot major arcanum number 10 card titled the Wheel of Fortune, these beasts are also on number 21 titled "The World." The Tarot is the picture book of the Bible rich with symbols, guiding of mankind’s evolution.

The very next day in the Book of Revelation study group, we again were reading about the four beasts. This can not be by accident. Then other’s in the class brought up this upcoming Cosmic Cross planetary configuration, and all the fears and excitement surrounding it.

I take the spiritual perspective that everything of the outer physical world has first come from within the consciousness of mankind. What we see are the outer effects of our thoughts, feelings and beliefs. It has already taken place in our consciousness. This wonderful event is the result of our awakening consciousness.

We each still have free will to act from our highest or lowest aspect of Self, and this effects how each of us shall experience out our world reality. Is our mind upon the physical, are we in fear of change, or is our mind upon God, the spiritual, and Love?

The four fixed signs of this cosmic event are Leo, Aquarius, Taurus and Scorpio. In the bible Revelation 4:7-8 they are described by their signs, "And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face like a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within; and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God almighty, which was, and is, and is to come."

Astrologically Leo is the Lion, Taurus the calf, Scorpio as the flying Eagle, and Aquarius the face of a man. They also represent the four elements fire, earth, water, and air.

A deeper meaning of a fixed sign is that which is unchanging. I think of spirit, God, that underlies all creation. The outer forms may change constantly but that which is behind the creation never changes. There are cycles of life, of seasons, of planets, but that which controls the movement never changes.

In the Grand Cross we find Leo opposite of Aquarius, and Taurus opposite Scorpio, the moon shadowing the sun, and nine planets including the sun and moon. Planets also represent our power or chakra centers "As within so without." Aquarius represents the new mankind, the new race with the following attributes: Taurus is the act of service, Scorpio is purity through regeneration, and Leo through the power of love. These are the highest aspects of those signs.

This period of time, Aug 11, in Leo is the beginning of a birth, a nine month cosmic pregnancy culminating with a Grand Planetary Alignment of May 3, 2000. Aug 18, is another important date of Grand Squares, and on Aug 26, the Full Moon is another Grand Cosmic Cross of 10 planets.

According to Ken Kalb of Lightshift, "We are at a cross roads, called The Magic Window. We can choose to enter, birthing a new cycle where earth and humankind are born into their next turn on the evolutionary spiral. We find ourselves simultaneous christing and crucifixion, as we cross the threshold into the 21^st century and Aquarian age."

Looking at the Tarot card 10 "Wheel of Fortune", we find the wheel of creation; the cycle of life and death ever returning, evolution and involution. The world of cause and effect. The calf or bull is facing the lion which symbolizes limitation to the physical plane.

We begin our birthing here, choosing our thoughts and actions for the higher aspects of the Christ life. The number 10 represents the masculine and feminine powers conjoined or merged. We are also talking of the awakening power of the spiritual centers of the brain, and glands in the head which are important in our soul growth.

Ken Kalb tells us that "The grand cross is an aspect of dynamism, and the fixed signs are powerful. This is one incredibly potent eclipse which opens the charged period of "The Window."

The window is here this week and into the following. Will you choose to take the leap, spread your wings and fly to the next level in your evolutionary path? To be the new humankind with wings as angels as represented in the Tarot #21 "The World", representing the completed work. The calf is now facing away from the other beasts symbolizing free from limitation of the physical earth or world. Free from death, disease, poverty, anger and war.

We have a choice to be in our highest to bring forth inspired action. It is a time of reflection on our values, tune into visions and dreams, and discover how we can work together for a world of love and harmony that supports and inspires our children of the future. Take heed and lift your vision, and become the children of the future.

For those looking downward, or only to the physical, life will become even more intense. Communications can break down. Consequences will become even more obvious. This is Spirit’s loving way to awaken those caught in the dream of illusion.
